Closure of the Institute of Hospitality in Prague in connection with the spread of COVID-19 until further announcements

Based on the decision of the State Security Council and emergency measure of the Ministry of Health Care No. MZDR 10676 / 2020-1 / MIN / KAN dated March 10, 2020, the personal presence of students at the Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague (VŠH) pursuant to Act no. 111/1998 Coll., On Universities and on Amendments to Other Acts (Higher Education Act), as amended is banned.Starting Tuesday, March 10, 2020 2:00 pm to appeal lessons, personal consultations and all events for all VŠH students will be cancelled.  The building of the school at Svídnická 506/1, 181 00 Prague 8, will be completely closed during this period.

Referring to the extraordinary measure of the Ministry of Health Care and based on the decision of the Managing Director of the IHM, all academic, technical-administrative and economic-administrative employees in the period from March 10 until further announcements, are ordered to interrupt work completely, except for electronic consultations. The employer's decision is based on Section 208 of Act No. 262/2006 Coll., The Labour Code, as amended.

All employees will not receive sickness insurance benefit or salary compensation (until the 14th day of illness), but everyone is allowed to work from home (home office in 100% salary compensation) for the duration of interruption of teaching process and school operation. Employees working on different than full-time contracts (performance agreement work , activity agreement work) will not report their work activities for the given period.

From 11 March 2020, lunches are completely cancelled for all people. Cash for lunches will either be refunded or carried forward.

The decisions of the Rector and the Managing Director of IHM come into force and effect on the day of their issue.
