The MBA program is specialized for hotel management, gastronomy, and tourism.
The Prague International Business School (PIBS) and the Institute of Hospitality Management (IHM) together offer an accredited program leading to the internationally recognized title of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Students interested in the program must have completed a university degree (bachelor’s or master’s) and have at least three years of work experience in the field, preferably in a management position.
The length of the MBA program is two years and runs for 4 semesters, of that, 3 semesters are devoted to instruction, while the fourth semester is dedicated to writing and defending one’s final dissertation.
The instructional semesters each consist of five sessions, one time per month, with each session lasting four days, from Tuesday to Friday. Exams are also conducted within the framework of these sessions. Instruction is in Czech, with exceptional cases of instruction in English (for example, during lessons by an instructor from abroad). Students may request more information by filling in the contact form. There is also space for additional questions you might have about the program. All interested applicants will be updated by IHM about news and important upcoming dates at the start of individual terms of the MBA program.
Binding application form (pdf).
Tuition for the entire program is 255,000 Czech Crowns (+ tax). The MBA program is an extended qualification; tuition is therefore tax deductible.
Part of the admissions procedure is a written test to determine the suitability of the candidate for the program (similar to the GMAT), a language test (English, or in some cases German), and a personal interview. Applicants will be contacted in writing concerning acceptance.
