The Institute of Hospitality Management enters its second decade with a new program intended primarily for bachelor’s students from abroad studying full-time in the Hospitality Management program. In addition to Czech, instruction in this comprehensive major will, for the first time, also be in English. The character of the hospitality industry is international, and IHM would like offer the possibility of studying hospitality management to interested persons from all over the world who have a strong knowledge of English (at least a B2 level - in accordance with the common European Framework of Reference for languages).
Hospitality Management as a major field of study in English is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and does not differ in content or course structure from the same program in Czech. The bachelor’s degree is valid internationally.
Instruction in English for the Hospitality Management program will begin in September 2010, and the first commencement ceremony will take place for graduates in 2013. Applications may be submitted in electronic form. The deadline for the second round of applications is 31 July 2010. Registration for first year students will take place at the beginning of September 2010.
Tuition for one semester is 39,500 Czech crowns (approximately 1,600 Euros/semester depending on actual exchange rates). Payments must be made in Czech crowns. Conditions for admission are concurrent with standard conditions for other major fields of study and can be found on these web pages.
Instruction will be carried out by top-rate instructors and experts with both domestic and international experience in the field. IHM offers accommodation possibilities in cooperation with partner facilities.
